Hello stampers! Today I felt romantic, so I created this Valentine's card with Cupid Mae digi stamp by Some Odd Girl. I colored this beautiful image with alcohol markers on top of a white cardstock, then I fussy cut. I added some highlights with a white gel pen.

Ciao amici! Oggi mi sentivo romantica, per cui ho creato questa card per San Valentino con il timbro Cupid Mae di Some Odd Girl. Ho colorato questa bellissima immagine con pennarelli ad alcohol su del cartoncino bianco, poi l'ho ritagliata. Ho aggiunto qualche punto luce con una penna gel bianca. 

Ho deciso di abbinare questa immagine a dei cartoncini kraft e rosa, visto che ho utilizzato gli stessi colori per Mae. Ho embossato entrambi con un folder e ho aggiunto l'augurio e un cuoricino marrone.

Hello there! As soon as I saw this Scooter Mae digi stamp in Some Odd Girl shop, I knew I had to color it since it calls for my country, Italy. There is a movie too: "Roman Holiday"! I'm not a scooter girl, but I can imagine how it feels: the wind on your face and a big smile, because you're free!

Ciao a tutti! Non appena ho visto il timbro digitale Scooter Mae nello shop di Some Odd Girl, ho capito che dovevo colorarla perché richiamava troppo l'Italia. In particolare, mi ha subito ricordato un film - "Vacanze romane"! Non sono una donna da scooter (ci sono salita solo una volta), ma posso immaginare cosa si prova: il vento sulla faccia e un grande sorriso stampato sopra, perché ti senti libera!

So I printed and colored her with alcohol markers, then fussy cut. I decided to use elegant but bright color, such as red, yellow and aquamarine.

Quindi l'ho stampata e colorata con i pennarelli ad alcohol, poi l'ho ritagliato. Ho deciso di utilizzare colori eleganti e accesi, come il rosso, il giallo e l'azzurro acquamarina.

I put the image on top of a photo frame and I stamped my sentiment. For the background of the scene, I went for a tone-on-tone effect with embossing paste and stencil on white cardstock. I picked a piece of grey cardstock, I stamped some tiny circles all around and I used it as my cardbase.

Ho posizionato l'immagine al centro di una polaroid e ho timbrato l'augurio. Per lo sfondo della scenetta, ho optato per un effetto tono-su-tono con della pasta da embossing e uno stencil su cartoncino bianco. Ho scelto del cartoncino grigio, vi ho timbrato sopra qualche piccola decorazione e l'ho utilizzato come base per la card.

Hello my friends! During this period of emergency, I'm staying at home even more than usual. So I have extra time for reading, which is something I really enjoy! Even if I love books, I have to say that e-books are so handy and convenient. In any case I decided to print and color Bookish Tia digi stamp by Some Odd Girl in order to create a card perfect for a book lover.

Ciao amici! Durante questo periodo mi trovo a rimanere a casa anche più del solito. In questo modo ho trovato del tempo per leggere, che è qualcosa che ho sempre amato fare. Anche se adoro i libri cartacei, devo dire che gli e-book sono molto comodi e salva-spazio. In ogni caso ho deciso di stampare e colorare il timbro digitale Bookish Tia di Some Odd Girl per realizzare una card adatta a un'amante di libri.

Some details are adorable, like the bag hanging on her side - and I chose rainbow colors.

Alcuni dettagli sono dolcissimi, come la borsa che le pende sul lato - e per lei ho scelto i colori dell'arcobaleno.

After fussy cutting the image, I put it on a strip of cardstock on which I blended Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides. Then I framed it with black cardstock and glued everything on a blue patterned paper.

Dopo aver ritagliato l'immagine, l'ho abbinata a una striscia di cartoncino bianco su cui ho sfumato i Distress Oxide Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans e Tumbled Glass. Poi ho incorniciato il pannello centrale con del cartoncino nero e ho incollato tutto su una carta decorativa blu.

Hello stampers! Today I'm focusing on the Umbrella Snail by Some Odd Girl, which is a sort of spirit animal for me - a little one, that carries his house with him and is slow (and thoughtful, in my mind). And this snail seems to smile too! I couldn't resist and I made two versions of the same card.

Oggi mi sono concentrata sulla lumachina di Some Odd Girl, una sorta di animale-guida per me - piccolino, che porta con sé la sua casetta ed estremamente lento (nella mia mente, perché è riflessivo). E questa piccola sembra proprio sorridere! Non ho potuto resistere e ho creato due versioni della stessa card.

The idea behind was using some patterned papers I had for ages and matching them with two snails, one in warm colors and the other in cool colors. For the ground I chose two different woodgrain patterned papers - which I really love to use.

L'idea di base è stata quella di utilizzare della carta patterned che ho da anni e abbinarla con due lumachine, una con colori caldi e l'altra con colori freddi. Come piano ho scelto due diverse carte con effetto legno, che adoro davvero usare.

I added two strips of sentiments. Both of the digis were colored with alcohol markers. 

Ho aggiunto due scritte a tema. Entrambe le immagini sono state colorate con pennarelli ad alcohol.

Hello guys! It's time for the monthly release by Some Odd Girl and the Mini Hula Girl is the digi stamp I chose to celebrate it. I decided to get inspired by the Hawaii line dancing, creating a sort of scene with 2 twins and the sentiment at the center.

Ciao a tutti! E' tempo della mini-release mensile di Some Odd Girl e la Mini Hula Girl è il timbro digitale che ho scelto per festeggiarla. Ho deciso di lasciarmi ispirare dalle danze di gruppo delle Hawaii, creando una sorta di scena con due gemelle e l'augurio al centro.

First I placed the digital images one in front of the other, leaving some white space between them. Then I printed and colored them with alcohol markers. At the center I drew a sort of panel with bamboo all around, I colored it too and I stamped a sentiment on top.

Prima di tutto ho posizionato le immagini digitali una di fronte all'altra, lasciando dello spazio bianco tra loro. Poi le ho stampate e colorate con i pennarelli ad alcohol. Al centro ho disegnato una sorta di pannello con intorno dei rami di bamboo, l'ho colorato e ho timbrato l'augurio al di sopra.

Finally I fussy cut the whole scene and put it on top of a brown patterned paper, using foam tape to add some dimension.

Infine ho ritagliato l'intera scena e l'ho posizionata al di sopra di una carta decorativa marrone, utilizzando del nastro gommato per dargli tridimensionalità.

I really love the look of this girl and all the possible scenes you can build with her!

Adoro l'aspetto di questa ragazzina e tutti gli possibili scenari che si possono costruire con lei protagonista!

Hello my friends! This is my last mermaid for this amazing Mermay month focused on Some Odd Girl. This one is a new digi called Mermaid Tunes, that I decided to match with the Reef background to create a one-layer card. This is one of my first attempts with this kind of composition, since I'm not a pro with alcohol marker coloring.

Ciao a tutti! Questa è l'ultima sirenetta per il mese Mermay tutto dedicato a Some Odd Girl. Questo è uno dei nuovi digi chiamato Mermaid Tunes, che ho deciso di abbinare alla scogliera per realizzare una card one-layer. Questo è uno dei miei primi tentativi con questo tipo di composizione, visto che non sono un'esperta di colorazione.

First of all I printed everything on a piece of white cardstock and colored - for the water I decided to use one shade of light blue only.

Prima di tutto ho stampato le immagini su del cartoncino bianco e le ho colorate - per l'acqua ho deciso di utilizzare soltanto una sfumatura di azzurrino.

I added some shadows here and there, especially under the tail of the mermaid, in order to make the scene more realistic.

Ho aggiunto qualche ombra qua e là, soprattutto sotto la coda della sirenetta, così da rendere la scena meno bidimensionale e più realistica.

I added some dots on the reef and the mermaid to give some interest to the card, since it's such a clean and simple project. On the top right corner I stamped the sentiment and glued everything on a black cardbase.

Ho aggiunto qualche puntino sulla scogliera e sulla sirenetta per aggiungere un po' di interesse alla card, visto che è un progetto semplice e senza fronzoli. Sull'angolo in alto a destra ho timbrato l'augurio e ho incollato il pannello su una base nera.

Today it's Waiting Mermaid Mae turn: I printed her on white cardstock, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut. I decided to match her on a piece of watercolored paper where I put some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide with the ink smooshing technique. For my cardbase I chose a piece of brown cardstock, on which I stamped a little shell multiple times.

Oggi è appunto il turno di Wainting Mermaid Mae: l'ho stampata su del cartoncino bianco, colorata con pennarelli ad alcohol e ritagliata. Ho deciso di abbinare del cartoncino acquerellabile che avevo "sporcato" con il Distress Oxide Crackerd Pistachio grazie alla tecnica ink smooshing. Per la mia base ho scelto del cartoncino marrone, su cui ho timbrato più volte una piccola conchiglia.

Hello my friends! I'm anticipating the Mermay feelings with two cards made with the super-sweet mini mermaids by Some Odd Girl. In fact today I'm showing you two bright and cheerful cards, using ink blending tecnique and alcohol markers coloring.

Ciao amici! Oggi anticipo un po' i tempi del cosiddetto "Mermay" con due card a tema sirenette. Ho scelto le due mini mermaids di Some Odd Girl ed ho realizzato due biglietti colorati e simpatici, utilizzando la tecnica dell'ink blending e la colorazione con i pennarelli ad alcohol.

For my first card, I printed, colored and fussy cut the little mermaid hugging a worried fish. I chose blue and yellow colors, that I used also for the sentiment and the background. In fact I blended Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks, adding a stencil and white pigment ink on top.

Per la mia prima card, ho stampato, colorato e ritagliato la piccola sirenetta che abbraccia un pesciolino alquanto preoccupato. Ho scelto le tonalità del blu e del giallo, che ho usato anche per la scritta e lo sfondo. Ho sfumato i Distress Inks Cracked Pistachio e Peacock Feathers, aggiungendo uno stencil e dell'inchiostro bianco al di sopra.

For my second card I created a very similar background, picking Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks. I framed the panel with black cardstock and glued everything on a bright green cardbase.

Per la mia seconda card ho creato uno sfondo molto simile, scegliendo i Distress Inks Twisted Citron e Peacock Feathers. Ho incorniciato il pannello con del cartoncino nero e ho incollato il tutto su una base verde brillante.

In this case, I decided to color the mermaid as if she was Ariel, the Disney Princess with long and red hair. I fussy cut and placed her in the center of my card. I really love how the two cards turned out, especially because I failed all the other projects I was working on!

In questo caso, ho deciso di colorare la sirenetta come se fosse Ariel, la principessa Disney con lunghi capelli rossi. L'ho ritagliata e posizionata al centro della mia card. Adoro come i due biglietti sono venute fuori, specialmente avendo fallito tutti gli altri progetti su cui stavo lavorando!

Hello my friends! Spring is here and so the tweeting birds out of my window! I love that the first thing that I hear when I wake up is the tweet of the birds. This situation made me choose this the Tweeting Bird digi designed by Some Odd Girl to create a spring card.

Ciao a tutti! La primavera è arrivata, e con lei i cinguettii degli uccellini che si rincorrono fuori dalla finestra! Adoro che la prima cosa che sento al risveglio è proprio il canto degli uccelli. La situazione che stiamo vivendo ha fatto sì che scegliessi proprio il timbro digitale Tweeting Bird disegnato da Some Odd Girl per creare una card primaverile.

First of all, I printed the bird on white cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut. I decided to add some dots here and there to add more interest to the image.

Prima di tutto ho stampato l'uccellino su del cartoncino bianco, l'ho colorato con i pennarelli ad alcol e ritagliati. Ho deciso di aggiungere qualche puntino qua e là, per aggiungere dinamicità alla figura.


I die cut a circle from a white panel, then built a background with cloud stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. Finally I stamped a sentiment that says "Best wishes", adding the bird and the note with foam tape.

Ho fustellato un cerchio da un pannello bianco, poi ho creato lo sfondo con uno stencil con le nuvole e dell'inchiostro Distress Ink Peacock Feathers. Infine ho timbrato l'augurio e ho aggiunto l'uccellino e la nota musicale con del nastro gommato.


With the same image in a smaller size I decided to create a bookmark with pink, kraft and white cardstocks.

Con la stessa immagine di dimensioni minori ho deciso di creare un segnalibro con cartoncini rosa, kraft e bianco.


In this case I used brown and pink colors for the bird too, adding some dots with a colorless marker in order to brighten it up. I hope that you can feel the positiveness of this image too!

In questo caso ho optato per i colori marrone e rosa anche per l'uccellino, aggiungendo qualche puntino con il pennarello blender per illuminare un po' l'immagine. Spero che anche voi riusciate a sentire la positività trasmessa da questo uccellino!

Hello there! Here I am with another card with Bouquet Piper by Some Odd Girl - what a beautiful image! If you saw my latest post for Some Odd Girl, today I colored it in a similar way: I only changed the color of her hair to combine it better with the cardstock.

Ciao a tutti! Eccomi con un'altra card dedicata all'immagine Bouquet Piper di Some Odd Girl - che immagine bellissima! Se hai visto il mio ultimo post per Some Odd Girl, oggi ho colorato la stessa immagine in modo simili: ho solo cambiato il colore dei capelli, per abbinarlo meglio al cartoncino utilizzato sullo sfondo.

I printed Piper and color with my favorite medium on white cardstock: alcohol markers. Then I fussy cut half of the image, I chose a beautiful sentiment that matches perfectly and I added some stars here and there with beige ink. 

Ho stampato Piper e l'ho colorata con il mio medium preferito su del cartoncino bianco: i pennarelli ad alcohol. Poi ho ritagliato metà dell'immagine, ho scelto un augurio che si abbina alla perfezione e ho aggiunto qualche stellina qua e là con l'inchiostro beige.

At this point I glued everything on kraft cardstock with foam tape.

Alla fine ho incollato il tutto su del cartoncino kraft con del nastro gommato.

Hello stampers! Today I'm here for a quick and simple blog post to celebrate one of the new digis designed by Some Odd Girl: the Bouquet Piper image! I loved it at first sight, because it's so spring and cute.

Ciao amici! Oggi mi soffermo velocemente sul blog per mostrarvi uno dei nuovi timbri digitali disegnati da Some Odd Girl: l'immagine Bouquet Paper! L'ho adorata al primo sguardo, visto che è così primaverile e adorabile.

I printed the image with a great size on a white cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut. I decided to color her hair red, since they are like mine! The bouquet is so detailed and beautiful too, since every flower is recognizable.

Ho stampato l'immagine (e ho scelto una dimensione abbastanza importante) su del cartoncino bianco, colorata con i pennarelli ad alcohol e ritagliata. Ho deciso di colorarla con i capelli rossi, visto che sono proprio come i miei! Il bouquet è molto dettagliato e bello, visto che ogni fiore qui presente è facilmente riconoscibile.

Finally I picked a strip of white paper with a fish tale and a piece of cardstock of the same color I used for the shirt of Piper and I put everything together on a white cardbase.

Infine ho preso del cartoncino bianco ritagliato a forma di tag e del cartoncino di base dello stesso colore della maglietta di Piper, poi ho messo tutto insieme su una base bianca.

Hello friends! Are you working on Easter? I think it's time to create something Easter-related, so I chose a couple of digi stamps by Some Odd Girl and today I'm focusing on the Feathered Friends Digi Stamp. In fact I created lots of cards with these critters, using die cutting and patterned papers.

Ciao amici! State lavorando alla Pasqua? Penso che sia il momento di creare qualcosa di pasquale, per cui ho scelto un paio di timbri digitali di Some Odd Girl ed oggi mi concentrerò su Feathered Friends. Infatti ho creato moltissime card con questi due animaletti, utilizzando un sacco di carte decorative e fustelle.

I chose different papers by different companies, all with bright and spring colors.

Ho scelto diverse carte di marchi differenti, tutte caratterizzate da colori brillanti e primaverili.

I usually don't use this kind of color combos, but this digi just let me think a bit outside the box.

Solitamente non utilizzo questo tipo di combinazioni cromatiche, ma questo timbro mi ha aiutato a pensare un pochettino fuori dagli schemi.

As you may notice, I printed it with different sizes to use it in different ways on the cards.

Come potete notare, ho stampato il timbro in diverse dimensioni per utilizzarlo in modi diversi sulle card.

Those faces are just too adorable!
