Hello from the coolest bear in the world! It's time for a new challenge on Create a Smile blog: the new theme is "Water"... exactly where I'd like to be right now!

Buongiorno dall'orso più figo del mondo! E' tempo di una nuova sfida sul blog di Create a Smile, a tema "Water"... beh, esattamente dove vorrei essere ora!

The idea behind this card was to dress the bear included in the "Dress me up!" stampset for the beach and then laying him down on the surfboard. As the board is short, I stamped it twice and I glued the bear on top.
To make the water underneath, I blended a piece of watercolor paper with a bunch of Distress Inks. Next I placed the waves stencil on top and I sponged a wet cloth; I kept on enforcing the sign of the stencil by blending a bit of white ink too.

L'idea che sta dietro a questa card è quella di vestire l'orso del set "Dress me up!" per la spiaggia, mentre si gode il sole sdraiato su una tavola da surf. Visto che la tavola è piuttosto corta, l'ho timbrata due volte, incollandoci poi sopra l'orso.
Per realizzare l'acqua sottostante, ho applicato su della carta d'acquerello diversi Distress Inks. In seguito ho posizionato lo stencil con le onde e ho iniziato a tamponare con uno straccio bagnato; per rinforzare l'effetto dello stencil, ho aggiunto anche dell'inchiostro bianco.

I glued everything onto a white card base, on which I stamped a ton of little images from the Clear Served Up! stampset. At this point I had no doubt: I picked one of the sentiment from the Message in a Bottle stampset and I added a bit of shine on the sunglasses!

Ho poi incollato ogni cosa su una base bianca, su cui avevo timbrato un bel po' di piccole immagini del set Clear Served Up! A questo punto nessun dubbio: ho scelto il sentiment adatto dal set Message in a Bottle e ho aggiunto un po' di luccichio sugli occhiali da sole!

Hello stampers! Are you thinking of Christmas yet? I try every single year to plan and create cards in advace for Christmas, but it's...well, you know: almost a mission impossible. Thanks to the monthly challenge on Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps blog, I just created my first Christmas card for this year, since the theme is "Christmas in July".

Buongiorno mondo creativo! State già pensando al Natale? Ho provo ogni anno a pianificare e lavorare in anticipo alle card natalizie, ma... alla fine mi riduco sempre all'ultimo. Grazie alla sfida mensile sul blog di Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps, ho giusto creato la mia prima card natalizia dell'anno, visto che il tema è "Christmas in July".

First I took a piece of watercolor paper and I blended it with a bunch of Distress Inks to create the sky (Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire). I also die cut landscape border full of houses and trees in white.

Sono partita da un foglio di carta acquarellabile, su cui ho aggiunto i Distress Inks dal più scuro al più chiaro fino a creare l'effetto di un cielo invernale (Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans e Chipped Sapphire). Ho anche fustellato del cartoncino bianco, cosa da avere una linea di paesaggio con case e alberelli.

Then I stamped the 3 images with snowflakes released last year with Versamark ink, heat embossing them in white. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped the sentiment.

Poi ho timbrato le tre immagini con i fiocchi di neve - realizzati lo scorso anno - con del Versamark ink, embossandoli poi con della polvere bianca. Ho scelto un inchiostro blu ed ho timbrato anche il sentiment su del cartoncino bianco.

Finally I glued everything onto the front panel, making sure that the lightest part of the sky - and without snowflakes too - was at the bottom, under the houses.

Infine ho incollato il tutto sul pannello frontale, facendo attenzione a lasciare la parte più chiara e senza ancun fiocco embossato in basso, sotto le case.

Hello cardmakers! Here I am with a new project for Crackerbox and So Suzy Stamps with Marco, the sweetest turtle in the world! It's been a while since I used this adorable stamp, but it's so cool for birthday cards in summer! As usual, this is a very clean and simple card and you need few supplies to recreate it.

Ciao creative! Oggi vi mostro un nuovo progetto per So Suzy Stamps con protagonista Marco, la più dolce tartarughina del mondo! E' da un bel po' che non mi diverto insieme a lei, ma è carina da utilizzare nelle card per compleanni estivi! Come sempre, si tratta di una card semplice, pulita e per cui servono pochissimi strumenti.

I started by creating my own sea background using Distress Inks and the ink smooshing technique: all you have to do is sponging a bit of ink on a piece of clean acetate, sprinkling some water on top and gently press it onto the paper. You can do it multiple times, in this case I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. I set it aside to dry and I sprinkled some waterdrops to add a touch of sea.

Ho cominciato creando il mio sfondo marino utilizzando i Distress Inks e la tecnica "ink smooshing": tutto ciò che bisogna fare è tamponare l'inchiostro su un foglio di acetato, spruzzare dell'acqua e premere gentilmente l'acetato sulla carta. Si può fare più di una volta, io in questo caso ho utilizzato Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers e Salty Ocean. Ho lasciato asciugare e ho spruzzato delle gocce d'acqua per aggiungere dettagli di oceano.

For the little turtle, I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured with promarker pens. I added some highlights with a white gel pen.

Per quel che riguarda la tartarughina, l'ho timbrata con del Memento nero e l'ho colorata con i promarkers. Infine ho aggiunto dei punti luce con una penna gel bianca.

At this point I stamped the sentiment in black, adding the turtle, a frame diecut and some clear sequins. And that's all! Let's see what's going on during the month of July:

A questo punto ho timbrato l'augurio in nero, aggiungendo la tartaruga, una cornice fustellata ed alcune paiettes trasparenti. Questo è tutto! Vediamo quali sono le promozioni per il mese di luglio:

Hi there! Today it's really a special day: this is my very first post as Create a Smile Challenge Team member! I'm in love with Create a Smile products and so, when I received the happy e-mail from Christine, I jumped all the day! This is so exciting! A new adventure begins... and I'm in a good company:

Buongiorno a tutti! Oggi è davvero un giorno speciale: questo è il mio primissimo post in qualità di membro del Challenge Team di Create a Smile! Adoro i loro prodotti e così, quando ho ricevuto la bella notizia da Christine, mi sono messa a saltellare per casa tutto il giorno! Quanto sono felice ed emozionata! Una nuova avventura inizia...e sono in ottima compagnia:

Let's start with some inspiration! The theme of the new challenge is "Special Day" - it sounds great, isn't it?

Ora vediamo se riesco a ispirarvi! Il tema di questa nuova sfida è "Special Day" - suona molto bene, non credete?

I looked through my stash and, as soon as I saw these candles, I thought of arranging them for July 4th celebration. I'm Italian and we're not celebrating that much, but since it's a challenge I wanted to try something new, stretching some Christmas stamps!

Ho dato un'occhiata ai miei timbri e, non appena ho visto queste candele, ho pensato di riadattarle per le celebrazioni del 4 Luglio. Qui in Italia non si tratta di una festa particolarmente sentita, ma trattandosi di una sfida mi sono voluta cimentare in qualcosa di nuovo...utilizzando dei timbri natalizi!

As you can see, I stamped a bunch of candles using masking technique and adding extra stripes and bold stars. I coloured everything with promarker pens, with a touch of Mustard Seed Distress Ink all around the flames.

Come potete vedere, ho timbrato un po' di candele utilizzando la tecnica del masking e aggiungendo strisce e stelle. Ho colorato il tutto con i promarkers, dando un alone giallo alle fiamme grazie al Distress Ink Mustard Seed.

In order to add some interest to this design, I cut the front panel in a half, keeping everything closed with a red ribbon. This layout can be used for any special occasion, such as birthdays for example.

Per aggiungere una nota interessante a questo design "ripetitivo", ho tagliato a metà il pannello frontale, mantenendo la card chiusa con del nastro rosso. Questo layout può essere utilizzato per qualsiasi occasione, come per esempio i compleanni.
