Hello, my friends! Finally spring has sprung...well, it seems more like Summer because days are sunny and really hot! In any case, I'm in the mood for spring cards, with a touch of sweetness and soft colors. Today I'm playing with the butterfly stamp by Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps and Prismacolor pencils.

Ciao amici! Finalmente la primavera è sbocciata...anzi, sarebbe meglio dire l'estate, visto che le giornate sono diventate soleggiate, ma con temperature roventi! In ogni caso, questa atmosfera primaverile mi ha decisamente ispirata, per cui eccomi qui con un paio di card primaverili, con un tocco di dolcezza e di colori pastello. Oggi mi sono divertita a giocare con la farfalla di Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps, nonché con le matite Prismacolor.

I love how Prismacolor pencils work with kraft cardstock: the brightness of these pencils is perfect for this kind of image, it's like giving life to it!

Amo vedere come le matite Prismacolor funzionano con il cartoncino kraft: la luminosità di queste matite è perfetta per questo tipo di immagine, è come darle vita!

First of all, I stamped a couple of butterflies on two different types of kraft cardstock. I used my MISTI tool because I like to stamp the image again in order to have a solid line after the coloring process. At the same time, I cut 2 panels from kraft cardstocks and stamped some polka dots on it.

Prima di tutto, ho timbrato un paio di farfalle su due diversi tipi di cartoncino kraft. Ho utilizzato l'immancabile MISTI perché mi piace timbrare nuovamente l'immagine così da avere una linea di timbrata precisa anche dopo la colorazione. Allo stesso tempo, ho preso due basi di cartoncino kraft e ho timbrato uno sfondo a pois su entrambi.

Next the relaxing part begins: coloring the two butterflies, following the lines of the wings. I used 2 shades of pink and 3 shades of light blue, plus the white pencil. As I wrote, I put the images in my MISTI, stamped with Versamark Black ink again and fussy cut. I added some details around the wings with a white gel pen.

In seguito la parte più rilassante ha avuto inizio: colorare le due farfalle, seguendo le linee delle ali. Ho utilizzato 2 sfumature di rosa e 3 di azzurro, più la matita bianca. Come ho già scritto, ho nuovamente timbrato le immagini con il MISTI e le ho ritagliate. Ho aggiunto qualche dettaglio intorno alle ali con una penna bianca.

Finally I took a piece of vellum and I cut it in a banner shape and in a circle shape. I stamped the Beautiful and Miss you sentiments in black on two strips of white cardstock, then I glued everything together.

Infine ho preso del vellum e l'ho ritagliato a forma di banner e di cerchio. Ho timbrato le scritte Beautiful e Miss you con dell'inchiostro nero su cartoncino bianco, poi ho incollato tutto insieme.

I added foam tape on the back on my butterflies, placing some adhesive tape in the same spot in order to hide the glue under the vellum. If you love this butterflies as I do, you're going to do the happy dancing since Animal stamps are 20% off on Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps shop during the month of June!

Ho aggiunto del nastro gommato sul retro delle mie farfalle, posizionando il nastro adesivo nello stesso punto così da nascondere l'effetto dell'adesivo sotto il vellum. Se amate queste farfalle come le amo io, sarete contenti di sapere che i timbri a tema "animali" sono scontati del 20% sullo shop di Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps durante il mese di giugno!

Hello my friends! December is here, Christmas is coming...and my adventure with Create a Smile Stamps is almost ended. The theme of the new challenge is "Winter Time" - so I created a snowy background with a white bear:

Ciao a tutti! Dicembre è ormai arrivato, il Natale si avvicina...e la mia bellissima avventura con il challenge team di Create a Smile Stamps è quasi finita. Il tema della nuova sfida è "Winter Time" - per cui ho realizzato uno sfondo nevoso con un bell'orsetto bianco come protagonista:

First I stamped the bear from the "Dress me up!" stampset on a piece of Strathmore toned gray paper, I coloured it with my prismacolor pencils, stamped it again with the MISTI tool and fussy cut. I dressed it up with a jacket and a scarf (on this one I added some shining blue with the Nuvo glitter pen). 

Prima di tutto ho timbrato l'orso del set "Dress me up!" su della carta Strathmore toned grey, l'ho colorato con le matite prismacolor, l'ho timbrato nuovamente nello stesso punto grazie al MISTI e l'ho ritagliato. Poi l'ho letteralmente vestito, aggiungendogli una giacca ed una sciarpa (quest'ultima sbrilluccica grazie alle penne glitter della Nuvo).

I chose to keep everything monochromatic by adding two pieces of gray and dark gray cardstocks as my background. I die cut an house border in white, I drew some white dots here and there and to finish it off I stamped some Christmas lights and a sentiment from the "Joy to the world" stampset.

Ho scelto di mantenere il tutto monocromatico aggiungendo 2 cartoncini grigi (uno più chiaro ed uno più scuro) come sfondo. Ho fustellato delle case bianche, ho tracciato dei puntini bianchi qua e là e per finire ho timbrato qualche lucina natalizia e la scritta dal set "Joy to the world".

Hello stampers! Today I'm back with a Christmas card that I made for the new Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps challenge, as the theme is "All Holidays"!

Ciao a tutti! Oggi sono qui con una card natalizia che ho realizzata per la nuova sfida sul blog di Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps, che vede come tema "All Holidays"!

I used one of my current favorite technique: repeated stamping for backgrounds. This time I chose a little candy cane stamp and a dark grey cardstock, since I love how prismacolor pencils look on dark surfaces.

Ho utilizzato una delle mie (attuali) tecniche preferite: la timbrata ripetuta per sfondi personalizzati. Questa volta ho scelto il piccolo timbro con il bastoncino di zucchero e del cartoncino grigio scuro, visto che adoro l'effetto delle matite prismacolor sulle superfici scure.

First I stamped the candy cane trying to follow a sort of pattern with Versamark ink, I covered everything with white embossing powder and then heat embossed.

Quindi ho timbrato il bastoncino di zucchero cercando di seguire un motivo con dell'inchiostro Versamark, ho coperto tutto con della polvere bianca e ho embossato a caldo.

Then I coloured every candy cane using a couple of shades for each color.

Poi ho colorato ciascun bastoncino utilizzando un paio di tinte per ogni colore.

Finally I cut the panel in a half, adding two short strips of light grey cardstock in between. I placed the sentiment on a white cardbase and stamped it in red with the MISTI tool.

Infine ho tagliato il pannello in diagonale, aggiungendo due strisce fini di cartoncino grigio. Ho posizionato l'augurio su una base bianca e timbrato con inchiostro rosso e MISTI.

Hi there! Today I used the beautiful Leafy Branch tall stamp by So Suzy Stamps to create a card inspired by the one and the only Yana Smakula. I've been following her since ages and I love her clean, simple and colorful style. She often creates her own backgrounds by stamping and coloring some stamped images.

Ciao a tutti! Oggi ho utilizzato il bellissimo timbro Leafy Branch tall di So Suzy Stamps per creare una card tutta ispirata a quelle di Yana Smakula, una delle cardmaker che più adoro. La seguo da anni e amo il suo stile pulito, semplice e coloratissimo. Spesso crea gli sfondi delle sue card timbrando e colorando immagini timbrate.

I decided to do the same with this branch of leaves that I inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink and stamped multiple times on a piece of watercolor paper - not the best choice, I know. 

Ho deciso di fare la stessa con questo ramo di foglie che ho timbrato più volte con del Distress Ink Antique Linen su della carta acquarellabile - non è stata una scelta felice, ne sono consapevole.

Next I coloured all of them with 3 or 4 shades of green prismacolor pencils (I really enjoy the no-line coloring technique!).

Ho colorato poi tutte le immagini utilizzando 3 o 4 sfumature di matite primacolor verdi (mi piace proprio la tecnica di colorazione "no-line"!).

Finally I chose the "Plant a seed" sentiment and I heat embossed in white on black. I trimmed every line of the sentiment and placed them in the center of the card with foam adhesive. I mounted the panel on a black cardbase and I added some white Nuvo Drops as final touches.

Infine ho scelto la scritta "Plant a seed" e l'ho embossata in bianco su cartoncino nero. Ho tagliato ogni riga dell'augurio e le ho posizionate al centro della card con dell'adesivo gommato. Ho montato il pannello su una base nera e ho aggiunto delle Nuvo Drops bianche come tocco finale.

I love this card because I only needed a couple of stamps and a lot of coloring. The final result is clean and bright, and that's exactly what I was looking for!

Mi piace molto il risultato ottenuto perché ho dovuto utilizzare solo un paio di timbri - ma un sacco di colorazione. L'effetto è pulito, semplice ma vivace, esattamente quello che stavo cercando!

Hello crafters! Here I am with another "cased" card for So Suzy Stamps: this time I needed to do again the project of someone else, so I chose this vintage card made by my teamie Olesya:

Buongiorno creative! Eccomi qui con un'altra card "copiata" per So Suzy Stamps: questa volta ci è stato richiesto di imitare il progetto di qualcun altro, ed io ho scelto questa card dall'aspetto vintage realizzata dalla mia amica Olesya:

Her card is the one on the left, while mine is on the right. As you can see, I tried to re-create the same background with only one die, while I coloured the roses with a different color medium.

La sua card è quella che si trova a sinistra, mentre la mia si trova sulla destra. Come potete vedere, ho cercato di ricreare lo stesso sfondo con una sola fustella, mentre ho colorato le rose con una tecnica di colorazione diversa.

First I stamped 2 Rose Blooms with Antique Linen Distress Ink on kraft cardstock, in order to color them with prismacolor pencils with no-line coloring technique. I chose 2 different shades for each color, plus the white pencil for the highlights. Then I fussy cut and I stamped the word "Beautiful" in black on a tiny strip of kraft.

Prima di tutto ho timbrato due boccioli di rose con dell'Antique Linen Distress Ink su del cartoncino kraft, così da colorare il tutto con le matite prismacolor e la tecnica di colorazione no-line. Ho scelto due diverse sfumature per ciascun colore, più matita e penna bianche per i punti luce. In seguito ho ritagliato tutto e ho timbrato la parola "Beautiful" su un piccolo banner kraft.

Then I die cut the oval frame on a piece of kraft cardstock, next I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and I glued it on a kraft cardbase. Finally I fixed everything with glue and foam tape, adding few clear sequins as final touches.

A questo punto ho fustellato la cornice ovale con del cartoncino kraft, per poi distressarne i contorni con del Vintage Photo, incollandola su una base sempre kraft. Infine ho incollato il tutto con colla e nastro gommato, aggiungendo un paio di strass trasparenti.

I love the classical look of this card, perfect for Mother's Day that is coming!

Hello my friends! Only 3 days left for the So Suzy Stamps new release... are you ready for unique designs? In the meantime I'm sharing this card with my favorite flower from the shop and a sentiment that matches perfectly. This was a great opportunity for practicing with Prismacolor pencils too!

Buongiorno amici! Mancano solo 3 giorni alla nuova release di So Suzy Stamps... siete pronti per vedere nuovi timbri? Nel frattempo vi mostro questa card, realizzata con il mio fiore preferito e con un augurio che si sposa perfettamente. Inoltre, è stata un'ottima occasione di fare pratica con le matite Prismacolor!

First I stamped the Line Flower using Versafine Black Ink onto a piece of kraft cardstock. Then I used some masking paper and I kept on stamping flowers next to each other. At this point I coloured every single flower in the same way, petal by petal, using red tones and some white shading. At the end I took a white gel pen to emphasize the center of the flowers.

Prima di tutto ho timbrato questo fiore utilizzando del Versafine nero su del cartoncino kraft. Poi ho ritagliato della carta per masking e ho continuato così a timbrare fiori, uno vicino all'altro. A questo punto li ho colorati tutti nello stesso modo, petalo dopo petalo, optando per sfumature rosse con qualche tocco di bianco. Alla fine ho enfatizzato il centro dei singoli fiori con della penna gel bianca.

I fussy cut the bouquet of flowers arranging them on the front panel. In fact I planned to left a free spot on it, so that I could stamp the sentiment. Finally I fixed the different clusters of flowers with liquid glue and foam adhesive.

Ho ritagliato il bouquet di fiori dopo averlo disposto più volte sulla base della card. Infatti l'intenzione era quella di ricoprirla interamente, lasciando solo lo spazio necessario a timbrare il sentiment. Infine ho incollato i diversi gruppi di fiori con del biadesivo e del nastro gommato.

The coloring is bit time consuming, but the final result is elegant and unique. In my opinion the sentiment gives that extra edge - everyone would like to read these kind words!

La colorazione non è velocissima, ma trovo che il risultato finale sia elegante ed originale. Secondo me poi l'augurio dà quel qualcosa in più - chiunque vorrebbe leggere o vedersi indirizzate queste parole!
