Hi there! "For kids" is the new theme on Create a Smile blog challenge: since August is ending, I thought of this cute gang of koalas to create my latest summer card.

Ciao a tutti! "Per bimbi" è il tema della nuova sfida sul blog di Create a Smile: visto che agosto sta finendo, ho pensato di creare la mia ultima card estiva con questa simpaticissima gang di koala.

So I stamped three of them from "All Hands on Deck" stampset - plus the pirate flag and a bunch of coins - with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with promarkers. Then I fussy cut and arranged them onto a piece of patterned paper that matches perfectly. 

Ho timbrato tre di loro dal set "All Hands on Deck" - più la bandiera dei pirati e un gruzzoletto di monetine - con dell'inchiostro Memento nero e li ho colorati con i promarkers. Poi li ho ritagliati e li ho posizionati su della carta pattern che si sposa alla perfezione.

At this point I only needed to cut two strips of white cardstock and I glued them down at the top and at the bottom of the card base with some foam adhesive.

A questo punto ho solo dovuto tagliare due strisce di cartoncino bianco e le ho incollate ai lati della base con del nastro adesivo spessorato.

It seems like I have a thing for stamped background: I saw Yana Smakula some time ago and I'm keeping on playing with them because they are so relaxing! Since it's summer and ships are masculine-related, I thought to use the Message in a bottle stampset to create a card with simple design, perfect for any occasion.

Sembra che io non riesca a staccarmi dagli sfondi timbrati: ho visto quelli di Yana Smakula e continuo a crearne... li trovo davvero rilassanti! Visto che è estate e che le navi sono soggetti abbastanza mascolini, ho pensato di utilizzare il set Message in a bottle per creare una card con un design semplice, perfetta per ogni occasione.

As you can see, I stamped the ships all over my base and colored them one by one using alcohol markers. Then I die cut an oval with the Cool Cuts Stacked Pierced Ovals from vellum, I added an embossed sentiment and two papers.

Come potete vedere, ho timbrato le navi fino a riempire lo sfondo e le ho poi colorate una per una con i promarkers. Poi ho fustellato un ovale con la fustella Staked Pierced Ovals da del vellum, ho aggiunto un augurio embossato e due fogli arrotolati.

Hello crafters! Which supplies do you use most while you create an elegant card? I can say "gold embossing powder". So today I'm sharing with you my personal idea of clean and elegant card, made only with a couple of colors and stamps by Crackerbox Palace & So Suzy Stamps.

Ciao a tutti! Quale è il primo prodotto che vi viene in mente quando si tratta di creare una card elegante? Per quel che mi riguarda, la polvere dorata per embossing. Quindi sono qui a condividere con voi la mia idea di card elegante e pulita, realizzata soltanto con un paio di colori e timbri di Crackerbox Palace & So Suzy Stamps.

To begin with, I picked the Chrysanthemum outline and I stamped it with Versamark Ink onto a piece of blue cardstock, then I covered with gold powder and heat embossed. I filled the edges with other flowers, inking the stamp with a color pad similar to the cardstock.

Per cominciare, ho preso il timbro con il crisantemo e l'ho timbrato su del cartoncino azzurro con del Versamark Ink, poi l'ho ricoperto di polvere oro e l'ho embossato a caldo. Ho riempito i bordi con altri fiori, timbrandoli con un tampone simile al colore del cartoncino.

Finally I stamped a sentiment in the center of the panel, I glued everything onto a piece of gold cardstock and I added few clear nuvo drops here and there.

I love this type of cards and the sentiment is beautiful and motivating!

Infine ho timbrato l'augurio al centro del pannello, ho incollato il tutto su del cartoncino oro e ho aggiunto un po' di nuvo drops trasparenti qui e là.

Adoro questo tipo di card, e la scritta è particolarmente bella e...motivante!

Interactive cards are always a surprise for the recipient: they could be time consuming to make, but I really love the final effect!

Le card interattive sono sempre una sorpresa per chi le riceve: spesso richiedono molto tempo, ma adoro il risultato finale!

Hello my friends! Today I have something different to share with you: a sympathy card. In Italy this type of cards is not popular - in any case, this is not a card that you really want to create or give to someone -, but I tried to create one with the beautiful feather and the touching sentiment from So Suzy Stamps. Plus, this is really a quick and simple card.

Ciao amici! Oggi sto per condividere qualcosa di diverso rispetto al solito: si tratta sempre di un biglietto, ma di condoglianze. Nel mondo anglosassone questo tipo di biglietto è noto come "sympathy card"; in Italia non è molto utilizzato - e non riguarda occasioni piacevoli -, ma ho voluto ugualmente mettermi alla prova con questa card, che vede come protagonista un paio di timbri di So Suzy Stamps. In più, si tratta di una card davvero semplice e veloce.

For this card I wanted to achieve a monochromatic look and so I choose Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide. I watercolored it with a large-tip brush onto a piece of regular cardstock, tracing horizontal lines. Next I took the same ink, I added some water and I tapped a brush with a smaller tip onto the panel. I set the cardstock aside to dry.

Per questo biglietto ho voluto mantenere un certo monocromatismo, così ho scelto tinte neutre ed il Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide. Ho acquerellato l'Oxide con un pennello a punta larga, tracciando su del cartoncino bianco delle linee orizzontali. In seguito ho preso lo stesso inchiostro, ho aggiunto dell'acqua e ho picchiettato un pennello dalla punta fine intriso di colore direttamente sul cartoncino di base. Poi ho lasciato asciugare.

I took the two stamps I needed from the latest release of So Suzy Stamps and I stamped them with Versafine Black Ink. As I wanted a perfect impression, I used the MISTI stamping tool.

Finally I picked a piece of cardstock really similar to my ink, I glued everything onto a card base and the card is finished:

Ho preso i due timbri di cui avevo bisogno dall'ultima release di So Suzy Stamps e li ho timbrati con dell'inchiostro Versafine nero. Visto che volevo una bella timbrata, ho usato il mio inseparabile MISTI.
Infine sono riuscita a recuperare un cartoncino dal colore molto simile a quello dell'inchiostro utilizzato, ho incollato il tutto su una base e la card è finita:

You can use any color you like for the background - pink and yellow would be great color combo as well! This project remembers me that we can create a card with such a little amount of supplies: this is something to keep in mind.

Si possono utilizzare diversi colori per lo sfondo - penso che anche il giallo e il rosa avrebbero funzionato bene! Il bello di questo progetto è che mi ha ricordato che si possono creare card con anche una piccola quantità di materiale: una cosa che dovrei tenere a mente.

Hello cardmakers! Today I'm sharing my latest card for So Suzy Stamps: I really wanted to use pastels and leftovers with the Cupcake Lady designed by my friend Olesya. Her characters are so unique, so I tried to keep the card focused on the lady and create a background that would pair as well.

Buongiorno cardmakers! Oggi sono qui a condividere con voi la mia più recente creazione per So Suzy Stamps: questa volta mi sono voluta concentrare sui colori pastello e su alcuni rimasugli, abbinandoli alla Miss Cupcake disegnata dalla mia amica Olesya. I suoi personaggi sono molto originali, tanto che ho lasciato che il timbro fosse anche focus principale della card - abbinandolo ad uno sfondo che lo valorizzasse.

First I stamped the Cupcake Lady with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then I coloured it with promarker pens and fussy cut. I added some details with white and black gel pens together with a bit of Nuvo Clear Drops for the eyes.

Prima di tutto ho timbrato Miss Cupcake con dell'inchiostro Memento, poi l'ho colorata con i promarker e ritagliata. Ho aggiunto alcuni dettagli con le penne nera e bianca, insieme con un poco di Nuvo Clear Drops per dare risalto agli occhi.

At this point I looked for leftovers in my stash: I found two strips of patterned paper and a paper doily. Then I cut a panel of kraft cardstock and a white circle, on which I stamped the sentiment. Finally I fixed everything on a cardbase, adding Nuvo Drops here and there in light blue and white.

A questo punto ho cercato alcuni ritagli di vecchi progetti: ho trovato due strisce di card pattern e un centrino di carta. Ho preso un pannello di cartoncino kraft e un cerchio bianco, su cui ho timbrato l'augurio. Infine ho incollato il tutto sulla base, aggiungendo Nuvo Drops in azzurro e bianco.


I love how it turned out, especially for the color palette I decided to use! I hope that you like it too!

"Senza cambiamento non esisterebbero farfalle" - e forse è proprio per questo che le farfalle mi piacciono particolarmente. In più, sono così ricche di dettagli e di colori. Proprio per questo morivo dalla voglia di provare questo design della nuova release di So Suzy Stamps! Ho creato una card senza elementi tridimensionali, utilizzando del masking, un po' di timbrate e un pizzico di colorazione.

First of all, I stamped a bunch of Monarch butterflies on a piece of white cardstock, one near to the other, rotating the stamp time to time to create a sort of pattern. This stamp is quite big, so there were room only for 4 butterflies. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black because I was going to use promarkers.

Prima di tutto, ho timbrato un po' di farfalle, una vicino all'altra, ruotando il timbro di volta in volta, su del cartoncino bianco. Questo timbro è abbastanza grande, per cui sono riuscita a farci stare solo 4 farfalle. Le ho timbrate con del Memento Tuxedo Black, visto che avevo intenzione di colorarle con i promarkers.

I stamped the newest sentiment, which is very long: I decided to only use the first two lines. This is a great way to stretch your stamps!

Ho timbrato il nuovo augurio, che appunto è molto lungo: ho deciso di utilizzare solo le prime due righe. In questo modo si può ottenere il massimo da un timbro!

At this point I chose a warm color palette, which means that all the butterflies were coloured with oranges and yellows. I also add a little bit of shading with some grey all around the wings. You could use rainbow colors or keep the card black and white... I just love how the elegant design of the butterfly just made the card!

A questo punto ho scelto una palette di colori caldi, così ho colorato tutte le farfalle con arancioni e gialli. Ho anche aggiunto un po' di tridimensionalità aggiungendo un po' di grigio intorno alle ali. Si possono scegliere anche i colori dell'arcobaleno, o mantenere tutto bianco e nero... adoro come basti il design elegante delle farfalle a tenere in piedi l'intera card!

I mounted the panel on a black card base. I didn't add any embellishment or sparkling element to keep the card as simple as possible: I love how the butterflies catch the eyes!

Ho incollato il pannello su una base nera. Non ho aggiunto alcuna decorazione, lasciando la card il più semplice possibile: le farfalle così catturano ancora di più l'attenzione!

Hi crafty friends! Today I mixed new and old stamps from So Suzy Stamps: the idea was to make an elegant card overlapping a lot of techniques, such as stenciling, embossing, stamping and cutting.

Ciao amici! Oggi ho deciso di mettere insieme un po' di timbri nuovi e vecchi di So Suzy Stamps: l'idea era quella di creare una card elegante, sovrapponendo diverse tecniche, utilizzando stencil, embossing a caldo, timbri e ritagli.

First of all, I stamped a bunch of solid Ranunculus with the Hero Arts Ombré Ink pad and I cut them all. Then I picked the Beech Line Leaf, inked it with Versamark and heat embossed using gold embossing powder. I repeated the process few times.

Prima di tutto, ho timbrato un po' di ranuncoli con l'inchiostro Hero Arts effetto Ombré e li ho ritagliati tutti. Poi ho preso la foglia, l'ho timbrata con del Versamark e l'ho embossata in oro. Ho ripetuto questa operazione più volte.

At this point, as I decided to use a black card base, I was thinking about a black banner for the sentiment. I wasn't sure at all and at the end I preferred to stamp the "Simple Love You" sentiment on white with the same Ombré Ink I used for the ranunculus.

A questo punto, avendo deciso di usare del nero come base, stavo pensando di abbinare una striscia di cartoncino nero per l'augurio. Non ero per nulla sicura ed alla fine ho preferito stampare la scritta "Simple Love You" su bianco e con lo stesso inchiostro dei ranuncoli.

Mine. After a long time, a blog post that is only mine. 

Sometimes life is more complicated than playing Tetris: so much things to do (work, family, hobbies,...) and so little time. I feel so grateful for all I have, even if the organisation isn't always perfect.

Last month I was asked to create a couple of birthday cards for 2 classy women "who don't like critters!" (how could it be?!). When we talk about classy and elegant stamps, I know that "The Ton Stamps" is the right answer.

Mio. Dopo tanto tempo, un post solo mio.

A volte far combaciare tutte le tessere del puzzle (lavoro, affetti, casa, doveri da DT ed hobby) è più difficile di un Tetris. Non fraintendetemi: mi ritengo molto fortunata per quello che ho. Anche se a volte l'organizzazione ne riserte (ed io sono una grande fan della pianificazione).

Nei mesi scorsi mi sono stati chiesti un paio di biglietti di compleanno per due donne eleganti, che non amano "gli animaletti". Avevo però la soluzione a portata di mano: i timbri di The Ton Stamps.

I already collaborated with The Ton and their stamps are simply amazing: the new release is awesome, with sunflowers everywhere!

I used the Morning Glory Border Cling Background, that did half of the work: as it is a background stamp, I only needed to stamp it and add a sentiment in the center - which means "Happy Birthday".

At this point I did what relaxes me most: coloring. For the first card I used Memento Ink with promarkers, for the second one Stazon and watercolors.

Ho già avuto modo di collaborare con questa compagnia e adoro i loro timbri - manco a farlo apposta, anche la loro ultima release è spettacolare con tutti quei girasoli.

Ho utilizzato il timbro Morning Glory Border Cling Background, che praticamente fa già la metà del lavoro: essendo un timbro per sfondi, basta aggiungere un augurio centrale (io ne ho scelto uno di Modascrap) ed è fatta.

Poi ho fatto ciò che più mi rilassa: colorare. Per la prima card, timbrata con del Memento, ho utilizzato un mix di promarkers (facendomi aiutare dal blender per i punti luce); nella seconda card, ho utilizzato Stazon e acquarelli.

  

I love the result, and I know that the recipients liked them too!

A me piacciono tantissimo, e so per certo che anche le destinatarie le hanno apprezzate moltissimo!

First of all, I picked a piece of watercolour paper and I use the circle of the Jo's Bubbles stencil in order to mask off the moon. Then I blended a bunch of Distress Inks, such as: Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Mustard Seed all around the circle.

Prima di tutto, ho preso della carta acquarellabile ed ho usato il cerchio presente nella confezione dello stencil Jo's Bubbles per mascherare la luna. Poi ho sfumato con un po' di Distress Inks: Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire e un poco di Mustard Seed tutto intorno al cerchio. 

I removed the circle mask and I blended some Mustard Seed inside the moon. Then I cut out the paper to have a A2 size panel.

Ho rimosso la maschera e ho applicato del Mustard Seed dentro il cerchio lunare. Poi ho tagliato il foglio per ottenere un pannello di dimensione A2.

At this point, I grabbed the Fairy, the sentiment and the Blowing Tree from So Suzy Stamps, trying to figure out the scene. Then I stamped all my images with Stazon Jet Black Ink, using the tree as a branch for the fairy.

A questo punto ho preso la fatina, l'augurio e l'albero autunnale di So Suzy Stamps, provando a costruire la scena. Poi ho timbrato tutte le immagini con dello Stazon, ruotando l'albero come se fosse un ramo per la fatina.

At the end I used a bit of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen on the fairy and I added some dots with white gel pen. The card is pretty much finished: I only took a black card base and I glued the panel down.

Infine ho aggiunto del Wink of Stella trasparente sulla fatina e qualche puntino di penna gel bianca tutto intorno al cerchio lunare. La card è praticamente finita: ho scelto del cartoncino nero e ho incollato il pannello alla base.
