Ciao amici! Oggi festeggiamo l'arrivo dei nuovissimi inchiostri di Catherine Pooler nello shop di Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps! Per cui vi mostriamo questi bellissimi tamponi, che hanno colori molto luminosi suddivisi in diverse collezioni. Si possono fare moltissime cose con loro, per esempio stampare perfettamente così come sfumarli con il blending tool mentre sono ancora umidi - lasciatevi ispirare qui!

Today I wanted to create a sympathy card for a four-legged friend, in particular a dog. First I used Sweet Sixteen and Pixie Dust Inks (from the Catherine Pooler "Spring Fling" collection) and I stamped the two images of "Pet Heart set of 2" set trying to achieve an ombré effect.

Oggi ho voluto creare una sympathy card per un amico peloso, in particolare per un cagnolino. Prima di tutto ho utilizzato gli inchiostri Sweet Sixteen e Pixie Dust della collezione "Spring Fling" di Catherine Pooler per timbrare le due immagini "Pet Heart set of 2" per ottenere un effetto sfumato.

At this point I added a bit of blending, using the same inks and the blending applicators, trying to keep a smooth transition.

A questo punto ho aggiunto un po' di colore sfumando il cartoncino con gli stessi colori usati in precedenza, cercando di ottenere una una morbida sfumatura.

Then I took a couple of stamps from Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps and I stamped them with Versafine ink on white cardstock using a MISTI tool. I drew a line with a pencil just to know where I wanted to cut. I trimmed the excess and I fussy cut all around the dog silhouette.

Infine ho preso un paio di timbri di Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps e li ho timbrati con del Versafine nero su del cartoncino bianco usando il MISTI. Ho disegnato una linea con una matita, così da avere un riferimento per il taglio. Ho eliminato l'eccesso e ho ritagliato tutto intorno la silhouette del cane.

I kept this card simple, without any type of embellishment. The inks are beautiful, so easy to clean, blend, ink... they are so brilliant! Check them out here!

Hello my friends! Today I have something different to share with you: a sympathy card. In Italy this type of cards is not popular - in any case, this is not a card that you really want to create or give to someone -, but I tried to create one with the beautiful feather and the touching sentiment from So Suzy Stamps. Plus, this is really a quick and simple card.

Ciao amici! Oggi sto per condividere qualcosa di diverso rispetto al solito: si tratta sempre di un biglietto, ma di condoglianze. Nel mondo anglosassone questo tipo di biglietto è noto come "sympathy card"; in Italia non è molto utilizzato - e non riguarda occasioni piacevoli -, ma ho voluto ugualmente mettermi alla prova con questa card, che vede come protagonista un paio di timbri di So Suzy Stamps. In più, si tratta di una card davvero semplice e veloce.

For this card I wanted to achieve a monochromatic look and so I choose Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide. I watercolored it with a large-tip brush onto a piece of regular cardstock, tracing horizontal lines. Next I took the same ink, I added some water and I tapped a brush with a smaller tip onto the panel. I set the cardstock aside to dry.

Per questo biglietto ho voluto mantenere un certo monocromatismo, così ho scelto tinte neutre ed il Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide. Ho acquerellato l'Oxide con un pennello a punta larga, tracciando su del cartoncino bianco delle linee orizzontali. In seguito ho preso lo stesso inchiostro, ho aggiunto dell'acqua e ho picchiettato un pennello dalla punta fine intriso di colore direttamente sul cartoncino di base. Poi ho lasciato asciugare.

I took the two stamps I needed from the latest release of So Suzy Stamps and I stamped them with Versafine Black Ink. As I wanted a perfect impression, I used the MISTI stamping tool.

Finally I picked a piece of cardstock really similar to my ink, I glued everything onto a card base and the card is finished:

Ho preso i due timbri di cui avevo bisogno dall'ultima release di So Suzy Stamps e li ho timbrati con dell'inchiostro Versafine nero. Visto che volevo una bella timbrata, ho usato il mio inseparabile MISTI.
Infine sono riuscita a recuperare un cartoncino dal colore molto simile a quello dell'inchiostro utilizzato, ho incollato il tutto su una base e la card è finita:

You can use any color you like for the background - pink and yellow would be great color combo as well! This project remembers me that we can create a card with such a little amount of supplies: this is something to keep in mind.

Si possono utilizzare diversi colori per lo sfondo - penso che anche il giallo e il rosa avrebbero funzionato bene! Il bello di questo progetto è che mi ha ricordato che si possono creare card con anche una piccola quantità di materiale: una cosa che dovrei tenere a mente.

Hi there! Today I'm sharing another sympathy card featuring So Suzy Stamps June Release. The starting point was this sentiment:

Oggi vi mostro un'altra card per condoglianze che ho realizzanto utilizzando un bellissimo augurio dell'ultima release di So Suzy Stamps:

I just wanted to set a scene that would fit the idea of "a memory becoming a treasure" and I had a couple of stamps that I thought would work perfectly with it.

I started by stamping the frame from a KaiserCraft stampset on a piece of regular white cardstock using some Versarmark Ink. I covered it with some gold embossing powder and I heat set it. I also stamped some little flowers from an old MME stampset with Versamark Ink, but in this case I used some white embossing powder.

Proprio partendo da queste parole ho cercato di costruire una card che si adattasse all'idea di "una memoria che diventa un tesoro". Fortunatamente ho trovato un paio di timbri che ho pensato fossero perfetti per questo.

Ho iniziato stampando la cornice da un set di timbri KaiserCraft su del cartoncino bianco usando del Versamark ink, ideale per l'embossing a caldo. Ho ricoperto la scritta con la polvere da embosser dorata e l'ho scaldata. Ho stampato nello stesso modo anche alcuni fiori da un vecchio set di timbri MME, ma in questo caso ho usato della polvere da embossing bianca.

After I had everything heat embossed, I cut the frame and I add a piece of vellum in its window. Then I used three shades of Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Picked Raspberry) in order to colour the flowers with the blending tool. I let them dry and I cut them out.

Dopo aver embossato tutto per bene, ho ritagliato la cornice e ho aggiunto un foglio di vellum al centro, a chiudere la finestra. Poi ho usato 3 tinte di Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio e Picked Raspberry) e li ho usati per colorare i timbri stampati - e che essendo embossati resistono alla colorazione - usando il blending tool. Ho lasciato asciugare e li ho ritagliati.

Then I die cut another piece of white cardstock with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lawn Fawn and I slightly blended the borders with some Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment with some Versamark Ink and I heat set it with some gold embossing powder.

At this point I built my scene: I glue the flowers on the bottom right corner of the frame with some regular adhesive and then I sticked the frame with some foam adhesive to the cardstock. I put the front of the card on a piece of side-folded cardstock and I add some shimmer with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

Successivamente ho fustellato un altro cartoncino bianco usando il più largo degli Stitched Rectangle Dies di Lawn Fawn e ho sporcato leggermente i bordi con del Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. Ho stampato anche l'augurio con il Versamark ink e l'ho embossato sempre con della polvere oro.

A questo punto è bastato assemblare il tutto: ho incollato i fiori nell'angolo inferiore destro della cornice con del semplice biadesivo e ho poi incollato la cornice sul cartoncino distressato con del nastro gommato. A questo punto ho fissato il tutto sulla base - un cartoncino bianco con piega laterale - e ho aggiunto un ulteriore tocco di brillantezza con del Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.
