This is the card I made:

I really wanted to use the Star of Bethlehem in an urban skyline: a sort of "modern Christmas", with city lights and little snowflakes.
I started by creating my own background (as usual, I know): I picked a piece of watercolor paper and I sponged it with a couple of Distress Inks (Broken China, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire). Broken China was the first one: I applied it in the center of the paper, where I planned to stamp the Star of Bethlehem. Then I added the Salty Ocean and the Chipped Sapphire with circular motions.

At this point I used my die from Marianne Design and I die cut the skyline twice: the first time on black cardstock and the second time on yellow cardstock. The (mad!) idea was to add all the yellow windows on the black skyline one by one.

Before adhering them, I stamped the Star of Bethlehem on my night sky and the Simple Christmas sentiment onto the black skyline using Versamark Ink and heat embossing them with some white embossing powder.

Finally I sticked the skyline with some regular adhesive and then all these teeny tiny windows. Yeah, be patient! At the very end I added some little snowflakes in the sky using a white gel pen.

Some close-ups:

I hope you liked my card...and this is the special news: Free Shipping on all orders over $25 (from now until November 5th)! Visit So Suzy Stamps shop!
