Hi there! It's been a while since I wrote here, actually I'm so busy… but creating this card was sooo relaxing. I love cardmaking: cards always wait for me and help to keep me calm.

This time I wanted to achieve a romantic atmosphere, with soft colors and blue shades. And I really wanted to use my new sentiment from So Suzy Stamps October Release: the font is really gorgeous!

Eccomi! E' da un po' che non scrivo, ma questo è un periodo di fuoco… anche se creare questa card mi ha rilassato molto. Adoro il cardmaking anche per questo: le card mi aspettano sempre, rispettando i miei tempi ed aiutandomi a mantenere la calma.

Questa volta ho cercato di ottenere un'atmosfera romantica, con colori sognanti e sfumature di blu. Senza contare che volevo provare il mio nuovo augurio della release di ottobre di So Suzy Stamps: il carattere della scritta è davvero bellissimo!

I started by creating the front panel: I die cut a piece of white cardstock multiple times, using a little leaf from Sizzix. In fact I was inspired by Yana, who made a beautiful and colorful card with this technique. 

Then I took a piece of watercolor paper in order to distress it: I sponged the paper with Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. Then I sprinkled some water drops in order to add texture to the background.

Ho cominciato creando il pannello frontale: ho fustellato più volte un cartoncino bianco usando una piccola foglia della Sizzix. Infatti sono stata ispirata da Yana, che ha ottenuto una card molto bella e colorata con questa tecnica. Poi ho preso un foglio di acquarello per distressarlo: ho passato il foglio con  Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. Infine ho spruzzato qualche goccia d'acqua per aggiungere texture allo sfondo.

At this point I took a bigger leaf die and I die cut a piece of deep blue paper for stamping and heat embossing the sentiment with some silver embossing powder.

A questo punto ho preso una fustella a forma di foglia (più grande della precedente) e ho tagliato un cartoncino blu scuro per poi stampare ed embossare la scritta con della polvere da embossing argento.

Finally I just assembled my card, adding a bunch of Glitter Nuvo Drops (Aquatic Mist and Dazzling Blue). I just love how it turns out, more different than usual!

Infine ho assemblato la mia card, aggiungendo una manciata di Glitter Nuvo Drops (Aquatic Mist e Dazzling Blue). Adoro il risultato finale, molto diverso dalle card che creo solitamente!

And what about Nuvo Drops? They match perfectly with Distress Inks!

Hello everyone! Today I'm on So Suzy blog with one of my first Halloween cards!

I saw a lot of video tutorials (Justine's backgrounds are gorgeous!) and I decided to create a simple card with something different. Step by step instructions? Yes, please!

Ciao a tutte! Mi trovate qui e sul blog di So Suzy Stamps con una delle mie prime card per Halloween! In Italia non è così festeggiato e sentito, ma mi ci sono cimentata per unirmi all'atmosfera "spettrale" che avverto con le colleghe di team.

Ho guardato un sacco di video tutorial in cerca di ispirazione (date un'occhiata agli sfondi creati da Justine!) ed ho deciso di creare una card semplice ma con qualcosa di diverso.

Volete un passo passo veloce?

I started by sponging a piece of watercolor cardstock with three Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral. I used my blending tool in order to add a bit of color with circular motions.

Ho cominciato da un foglio di carta acquarellabile, su cui ho applicato i Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade e Abandoned Coral. Ho usato il mio blending tool per aggiungere un poco di colore alla volta, sempre con movimenti circolari.

At this point I grabbed a cloudy border die cut and I used it as a mask: I sponged a bit of Abandoned Coral and I finished my cloudy background.

I repeated this background twice: one for the front panel and one for the inside.

A questo punto ho preso un bordo nuvoloso che avevo precedentemente tagliato e l'ho usato come una maschera: in questo modo, passando di nuovo l'Abandoned Coral, ho concluso il cielo con il dettaglio delle nuvole soffici.

Ho ripetuto questa operazione un'altra volta, così da ottenere due cartoncini: uno per il pannello frontale ed uno per l'interno della card.

Then I stamped the Halloween tree with some Stazon Jet Black Ink and I cut the main panel in two halves. In fact the black card base is different than usual: when the card is closed, we can see the whole tree.

Poi ho stampato l'Halloween tree con dello Stazon Jet Black e ho tagliato lo stesso pannello in due metà. Infatti il cartoncino nero alla base avrà una struttura diversa dal solito: quando la card è chiusa, si potrà vedere ancora l'albero intero.

For the inside I chose a big sentiment that matches perfectly the front image. I stamped it with some Stazon Jet Black Ink and I add some Glitter Nuvo Drops in Honey Gold and Orange Soda.

This is the final result:

Per la parte interna ho scelto un grande augurio che si sposa perfettamente con l'immagine dell'albero. L'ho stampato sempre con dello Stazon e ho poi aggiunto qualche Glitter Nuvo Drops nei colori Honey Gold e Orange Soda.

I'm really excited because this isn't my comfort zone...but I really like how the card turned out!

Sono davvero entusiasta perché sono uscita dalla mia comfort zone...e sono contenta di come è riuscita la card!

Hi everyone! Here we are with a new release by So Suzy Stamps! If it's the first time that you visit my blog or that you hear about Suzy (so bad!), check out her beautiful stamps selection!

The October release is full of leaves stamps: I chose a small one and I created a window card. 

This stamp is so versatile: I used it both for the background and as an embellishment.

Let's start creating!

Ciao a tutti! Eccoci alla nuova release di So Suzy Stamps! Se è la prima volta che passi di qui o che senti parlare di Suzy (male male!), vai a vedere la sua bellissima selezione di timbri!

La release di ottobre è ricca di timbri di foglie: ne ho scelta una piuttosto piccola ed ho creato una window card.

Questo timbro è davvero versatile: l'ho usato sia per lo sfondo sia come decorazione.

I started by stamping the leaves with some Versamark ink on a brown cardstock. Then I covered them with clear embossing powder and heat embossed with my heat gun.

Ho cominciato stampando le foglie con del Versamark su del cartoncino marrone. Poi ho coperto il tutto con la polvere trasparente e ho embossato tutto con il mio heat gun. Il cartoncino piuttosto chiaro fa risaltare tantissimo le foglie, che con la polvere scuriscono di molto il colore di base.

At this point I built up my front panel: I picked a piece of vanilla cardstock and I die cut a circle in the center. Then I used a woodgrain embossing folder in order to add texture to the cardstock.

A questo punto ho concluso il pannello principale: ho preso un cartoncino color vaniglia e ho tagliato al centro un cerchio grazie alla Big Shot. Poi ho usato un embossing folder per embossare lo stesso cartoncino, andando a richiamare le venature del legno.

Finally I embossed the gorgeous sentiment inspired by the Autumn mood on a strip of vellum with gold embossing powder. I assembled my card on a piece of chocolate brown cardstock: first of all I glued down the embossed leaves, then I sticked down the sentiment onto the vanilla cardstock and I glued down the front panel with some foam tape.

Infine ho embossato il bellissimo augurio ispirato a questa stagione (la mia preferita!) su una striscia di vellum, con della polvere oro. Ho assemblato il tutto su una base di cartoncino marrone scuro: prima di tutto ho incollato le foglie embossate, poi ho fissato il vellum sul cartoncino vaniglia ed infine ho incollato il pannello con del nastro gommato.

At the very end, I added two embossed leaves and some Nuvo Glitter Drops - Honey Gold that I won in a contest (woo hoo!). Do you see how these drops shine?

Come tocco finale ho aggiunto due foglie embossate e qualche goccia di Nuvo Glitter Drops (Honey Gold). Riuscite a vedere quando brillano?

Sono entrata in un nuovo loop.

Stavo cercando un'idea nuova per nuove card e improvvisamente ho pensato: "Perché non creare delle piccole composizioni di animali come se fossero pezzi di photobooth?" 

Ebbene sì. Mi sono divertita. Tanto.

Tanto che non sono più riuscita a smettere. Tanto che l'idea si è evoluta in "racconto una sequenza di fatti buffi".

Sul tema di Halloween non ho moltissimo materiale, ma il set Hats off to you sempre Lawn Fawn è venuto subito in mio soccorso: lo trovo davvero versatile, perché mi permette di personalizzare tutti i miei amati animaletti e adattarli a diverse occasioni.
Quindi ho costruito la mia "breve storia tragicomica" grazie ad una fustella a finestra di Marianne Design, di cui però ho usato solo una fila di tre riquadri. Al centro, partendo da quadratini bianchi, ho stampato il coniglietto che tiene in mano un cappello da strega, lo indossa e..."chi ha spento la luce?!"

Per sovrapporre le immagini mi sono aiutata con dei post-it, che hanno mascherato il timbro che volevo rimanesse in primo piano. Ho colorato il tutto con i promarkers, osando con uno sfondo arancione.

Per completare la card ho preso del cartoncino nero e ho scelto una carta decorativa acquistata mesi fa da Tiger. Ho aggiunto un semplice augurio su del cartoncino bianco, un cappello da strega e del clear Wink of Stella qua e là.

Dopo tanto tempo torno così a partecipare alla Lawnscaping challenge #138:

First of all, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper and I sponged it with a bunch of Distress Inks: Antique Linen, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire. 

At this point I stamped the sweet girl as if she was blowing in the wind, I added the beautiful Never Stop sentiment at the bottom of the card and I sticked the front panel onto a piece of white cardstock.

This is the card for today, perfect for people who love exploring and dreaming. A sort of Peter Pan, or maybe Mary Poppins.

A questo punto ho stampato la ragazza come se stesse volando spinta dal vento, ed ho aggiunto la bellissima scritta Never stop in basso. Infine ho incollato il pannello su del cartoncino bianco che ho usato come base della card.

Si tratta di un biglietto perfetto per le persone che amano esplorare e sognare. Un poco Peter Pan, un poco Mary Poppins.
