Hello crafters! It was a long time since I made a shaker card and I decided to create one with the big poinsettia from So Suzy Stamps. This is a great image, perfect for any kind of coloring - in this case, I chose promarkers!

Ciao creative! E' passato un po' troppo tempo dalla mia ultima shaker card, per cui ho deciso di crearne una con questa stella di Natale gigante di So Suzy Stamps. Si tratta di un'immagine bellissima, perfetta per ogni tipo di colorazione - in questo caso, ho scelto i promarkers!

First I die cut a rectangle panel, a rectangular frame and a matching piece of acetate. Since I didn't have anything golden for embellishing the pocket of my shaker, I die cut a lot of golden tiny stars.

Prima di tutto ho fustellato un rettangolo, una cornice rettangolare e un foglio di acetato della stessa dimensione. Visto che non avevo nulla di dorato per abbellire la tasca della mia shaker card, ho fustellato un bel po' di stelline dorate.

Then I stamped the poinsettia and coloured it with a bunch of promaker pens, fussy cut it and added some white dots as well as a bit of Nuvo Glitter Drops in the center.

Poi ho timbrato la mia stella di Natale e l'ho colorata, appunto, con i promarkers; l'ho ritagliata e ho aggiunto dei punti luce con una penna bianca e un poco di Nuvo Glitter Drops al centro.

At this point I stamped a couple of snowflakes with some Versamark Ink to achieve a tone-on-tone effect - this is not really necessary, since they will be covered by the shaker part of the card. I put my stars in the center of the base, added a lot of foam adhesive behind the frame and glued down.

A questo punto ho timbrato un paio di fiocchi di neve con del Versamark per ottenere un effetto tono su tono - questa cosa in realtà non è necessaria, visto che il tutto è stato per lo più coperto dalla tasca shaker della card. Ho posizionato le stelline al centro della base, aggiungendo un bel po' di nastro gommato dietro la cornice con l'acetato e l'ho incollato.

And this is the final result: I only added some golden dots on the card base.

Questo è il risultato finale: ho solo aggiunto dei puntini dorati sulla base della card.

This poinsettia is so detailed and the colors I used just make me think of Christmas time!

Questa stella di Natale è così dettagliata ed i colori che ho utilizzato fanno subito pensare al Natale!

Hello there! It's time to create something different by stretching a couple of stamps from So Suzy Stamps - and a new entry from Crackerbox stamps, that you can find on So Suzy as well. I really wanted to create one of those spooky cards I really like, trying to include the pine branch from the latest Christmas release.

Ciao a tutti! Oggi vi mostro qualcosa di diverso - ovvero, nulla di natalizio! -: ho voluto giocare con un paio di timbri di So Suzy Stamps, adattandoli ad un'occasione diversa da quella per cui sono nati. Infatti mi volevo cimentare in una di quelle card per Halloween, dall'aspetto piuttosto spettrale, includendo però il ramo di pino dell'ultima release dedicata al Natale.

First I picked up a piece of watercolor paper, I added a little circle made of masking paper on top - as if it was a moon -, and I chose Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks to blend some color on top. I blended some Black Soot too, but only on the edges, then I sprinkled some droplets of water to add some texture.

Per cominciare ho preso del cartoncino acquarellabile, ho aggiunto un piccolo cerchio fustellato da del masking paper, come se si trattasse della luna. Ho scelto alcuni Distress Inks ed ho iniziato ad aggiungere colore, partendo dal Twisted Citron e scurendo i bordi con del Mowed Lawn e anche un poco di Black Soot. Ho fatto cadere qualche goccia d'acqua, che ho tamponato della carta assorbente.

At this point I peeled off the mask and I added some light touches of color on the moon, just because it was too neat. I stamped a couple of pine branches with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, with the same ink I stamped the crosses twice, tracing the ground I needed with a black marker - and some other crosses as well.

A questo punto ho tolto la maschera e ho aggiunto dei tocchi molto leggeri di colore sopra la luna, perchè mi sembrava che il contorno fosse troppo netto. Ho timbrato un paio di rami di pino nella parte alta con del Versafine nero, con lo stesso tampone ho timbrato il gruppo di croci più volte, tracciando il terreno di cui avevo bisogno con un pennarello nero ed aggiungendo altre croci in lontananza.

Finally I stamped this big spooky sentiment, next I glued the panel onto a black cardbase and... Boo! The card is finished. I hope that you liked the idea of using stamps from different occasions - Christmas and Easter - to create something really unexpected.

Infine ho timbrato la scritta dedicata ad Halloween proprio al centro, poi ho incollato il pannello a del cartoncino nero e... Boo! La card è finita. Spero che vi sia piaciuta l'idea di usare timbri di occasioni diverse (Natale e Pasqua) per creare qualcosa di davvero inaspettato.

Hi stampers! Today I'm sharing a quick and easy card, with a lot of stamping and no coloring at all, combining old and new stamps from So Suzy Stamps. I loved at first sight Buck and Doe, the reindeer and the deer available also in a set f 2. They are solid and quite small, so I really wanted to frame them with a geometric shape.

The color combination I used is unconventional for my go-to Christmas card, but I really think that gold and aquamarine colors work well together.

Torno a condividere una card semplice e veloce, realizzata con timbri So Suzy Stamps - combinando quelli della nuova release a qualcosa di meno recente - e senza alcun tipo di colorazione. Mi sono subito innamorata di Buck and Doe, la renna e il cerbiatto disponibili anche in un unico set. Sono timbri solidi e piuttosto piccoli, che ho subito desiderato inquadrare e incorniciare in forma geometrica.

La combinazione di colori che ho utilizzato è piuttosto particolare rispetto al solito (di solito l'acquamarina mi piace abbinarla all'argento o al bianco), ma penso che un po' di oro non ci stia affatto male.

For my step by step I only share a single photo: as I wrote, nothing fancy here. I picked a piece of white cardstock and I used it as my front panel. I stamped a couple of pine branches with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink, then I die cut a squared frame from some gold paper, I stamped Buck and Doe with Hero Arts Ombré Ink (Tide Pool to Navy) and fussy cut.

Ho fatto solo una foto al procedimento perché è tutto davvero molto semplice. Ho preso del cartoncino bianco, ho timbrato un paio di rami di pino con del Distress Ink Cracked Pistachio, poi ho fustellato una cornice quadrata con del cartoncino dorato, ho timbrato Buck and Doe con dell'Ombré Ink della Hero Arts (Tide Pool to Navy), infine ho ritagliato le due figure.

At this point, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom edge and sticked all the pieces with a bit of foam tape. To finish my card, I added a huge amount of Nuvo Drops and that's all!

This card would be great also in brown, in red or in so many other color combinations - and it's also a great layout to mass-produce.

A questo punto, ho timbrato la scritta e incollato cornice e animaletti con del nastro gommato. Per finire, ho aggiunto un bel po' di Nuvo Drops!

Questa card si presta a tantissime varianti (marrone e rosso, giusto per dirne un paio), ed è anche perfetta per la produzione seriale.

Hi So Suzy lovers! Here I am with another card made with the stamps of the Christmas Release from So Suzy Stamps. I wanted to play with kraft, white, red and brown colors: this combination is one of my favourite for Christmas! I found out that the large pinecone is perfect with the large bow designed by Olesya, and the handwritten sentiment by Terri matched as well.

Ciao, amanti di So Suzy Stamps! Eccomi con un'altra card realizzata con i timbri della release natalizia di So Suzy Stamps. Desideravo giocare con kraft, bianco, rosso e marrone: una delle combinazioni cromatiche che più preferisco per Natale! Ed ho scoperto con la pigna grande sta benissimo con il fiocco grande - entrambi disegnati da Olesya -, e la scritta creata da Terri si sposa allo stesso modo.

At first I stamped a couple of large pinecones with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured them with alcohol markers. I fussy cut and highlighted some spots with my Sakura white gel pen. Same thing with the large bow.

Per prima cosa ho timbrato un paio di pigne grandi con del Memento nero, colorandole poi con i promarkers. Ho ritagliato il tutto e ho evidenziato alcuni punti luce con una penna gel bianca. Stessa cosa per il fiocco grande.

Then I die cut a circle, a scalloped circle and a squared card base in kraft. I choose the pointy stars stamp and the Noel sentiment.

Successivamente ho fustellato un cerchio, il cerchio corrispondente con bordo ondulato e ho tagliato una base quadrata da del cartoncino kraft.

I decided to add some white dots with a gel pen. I also stamped the sentiment with red ink.

Ho deciso di aggiungere delle stelle con dei puntini bianchi e ho timbrato la scritta con dell'inchiostro rosso.

Finally I glued down all together, popping up the circle with some foam tape. I added a few Nuvo Clear Crystal Drops onto the sentiment and that's all.

I'm really inspired by this release, maybe this year I will be on time with Christmas cards!

Infine ho incollato tutto insieme, utilizzando del nastro gommato per il cerchio. Ho aggiunto un po' di Nuvo Drops trasparenti sulla scritta....et voilà!
Questa release continua ad ispirarmi, sia mai che quest'anno riesca a concludere le card di Natale per tempo!

Hi stampers! As I wrote in my previous post, I decided to join the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest. For my second entry in the "Innovation Master" category, I create this interactive card - actually my first pop up slider card - using no dies and MFT supplies only.

Ciao creative! Come ho scritto nell'ultimo post, ho deciso di partecipare alla sfida targata MFT. La mia seconda proposta, che riguarda la categoria "Innovation Master", è una card interattiva - la mia primissima pop up slider card -, creata senza fustella alcuna e con soli prodotti MFT.

I built my own background by using heat embossing and Broken China Distress Oxide. I created all the different parts of the base by hand, fussy cutting all the pieces.

Ho costruito lo sfondo con l'embossing a caldo e il Distress Oxide "Broken China". Ho ritagliato tutte le diverse parti della base a mano, prendendo le misure.

I picked up the Up in the Air stampset, I stamped and coloured the air balloons, a bunch of houses and some trees with promarkers. I arranged my scene and I added a ribbon and the wreath made of hearts at the top of the main panel. This is how it looks when it's "opened":

Ho scelto il set Up in the Air, ho timbrato e colorato le tre mongolfiere, un po' di case e qualche alberello con i miei inseparabili promarker. Ho disposto e incollato tutti gli elementi e ho aggiunto un nastro all'estremità - nonché una ghirlanda di cuori, proprio in cima. Ecco la card "aperta":

I really like how the card turned out, so I'm thinking of creating some more - probably for the Holiday Season!

Sono soddisfattissima del risultato, già sto pensando di riproporla - probabilmente per il Natale!

Hello crafters! September is always a sort of New Year's Eve for me: children are going back to school, and so I am going back to work. I'm in a creative mood too, in fact I'm starting new projects and I'm also joining the "Daily Marker Challenge" day by day!

When I saw the Card Design Superstar Contest on MFT blog I said "why not?!"

I'm always looking around, admiring other talented cardmakers... but what about believing in me, this time?

Finalmente trovo il tempo per condividere con voi una nuova sfida. Ultimamente mi sento molto ispirata, comincio tantissimi nuovi progetti - finendone pochi, ma chi si ferma è perduto! -, riesco addirittura a star dietro alla "Daily Marker Challenge"... talvolta a discapito del blog.

Quando ho visto il Contest "Card Design Superstar" di MFT mi sono detta "Perché no?!"

Sono sempre alla ricerca di nuovi stimoli, mi perdo nei dettagli dei progetti di altre cardmakers, cerco di studiarne le tecniche adattandole al mio stile... ma perché non credere in me stessa, una volta tanto?

Finally I decided to partecipate twice. My first entry is for the "Clean and Simple Genius" category, and in my opinion it means "less (embellishment) is more (white)". I decided to create an encouraging card, combining the trees and the yeti from the BB Beast Friends stampset with the stars from the BB Magical Unicorns.

Alla fine ho deciso di partecipare con due card. La prima è per la categoria "Clean and Simple Genius", che per me significa "meno (decorazione) è più (bianco)". Ho deciso di creare una card d'incoraggiamento, combinando un paio di set di MFT.

I chose pale colors - light greens, light roses and light greys -, adding a touch of interest to the background by using the Stencil Abstract with a couple of Distress Inks. In this way the two bright stars really pop! I added some clear Nuvo drops as final touches.

Ho scelto una palette di colori piuttosto chiara, tutta sui toni del verde, del grigio e del rosa. Ho reso lo sfondo più dinamico con uno stencil e un paio di Distress Inks. In questo modo le due stelle risaltano particolarmente! Ho aggiunto anche qualche piccola Nuvo drops come tocco finale.

I really love challenges and using only MFT products was difficult, but I had fun! And what I love most is an handmade card that describes how I feel.

Adoro le sfide e usare solo prodotti MFT è stato abbastanza difficile, ma decisamente divertente! Ed una delle cose che mi dà più soddisfazione è creare una card che descriva esattamente come mi sento.

Ero molto ispirata mentre stavo creando questa card, per cui ammetto di essermi scordata di scattare le foto per le mie istruzioni step-by-step... ma vi garantisco che non sono assolutamente necessarie.

First of all, I stamped the Christmas Lights three times with Memento Black Ink and I colored them with my promarkers. I fussy cut the lights, extending the string on the edges with a marker, and added Nuvo Clear Crystal Drops. 

While they were drying, I cut out a black cardbase and I heat embossed the Joy by Terri sentiment. Then I cut out 2 strips of white cardstock and I glued them down on the two sides of the base. 

At this point I fixed the 3 strings of lights and added some white dots all around with a white gel pen.

Minimum supplies, quick and easy card, discounts... what else?!

Anzitutto ho timbrato tre volte le Luci Natalizie con dell'inchiostro Memento e le ho colorate con i miei promarker. Ho ritagliato le luci, allungando la corda sui bordi con un pennarello a punta fine, ed ho aggiunto del Nuvo Clear Crystal Drops.

Mentre stavano asciugando, ho tagliato una base di cartoncino nero e ho embossato la scritta Joy by Terri. Poi ho tagliato 2 strisce di cartoncino bianco e le ho incollato su entrambi i lati della base. A questo punto ho fissato le tre corde con le lucine e ho aggiunto un po' di punti bianchi intorno con una penna gel bianca.

Poco materiale, card facile e veloce, sconti... cosa chiedere di più?
