Massì, festeggiamo. Anche se ho cominciato il 2017 -e mutuo la frase dal web- come se gennaio fosse "un mese di prova". Della serie: "il meglio deve ancora venire".

Bando ai luoghi comuni, l'ho anche cominciato all'insegna della pianificazione di creazioni ed obiettivi: di tutti i cambiamenti che investono la mia vita, una delle poche certezze che ho è il cardmaking (a questo proposito vi consiglio questo specifico podcast di So Suzy Stamps).

Cerco di inaugurare la to-do-list partecipando alla prima sfida di casa The Ton: ho già avuto modo di collaborare con loro qui, Effie è disponibilissima, il suo DT è una bomba ed io non vedo l'ora che arrivi il pacchetto combo "vittoria giveaway + mini acquisto" perché la nuova release è davvero imperdibile. Il tema di questa sfida mensile è "Celebrate"!

Yeah, let's celebrate. Even if I began this year like "it's a trial period. Keep on trying in february". A sort of "the best is yet to come".

By the way I also started by planning creations and goals of 2017 (and this postcast by So Suzy Stamps is perfect if you are looking for motivation).

My first goal is to apply and make more cardmaking challenges: The Ton Stamps started a brand new one: they are amazing, Effie is just adorabile and I'm waiting for a couple of stamps (and a giveaway too!) on my way home. The theme of this first challenge is "Celebrate"!

Ho scelto i due gigli del set Simple Florals e li ho stampati più volte, disposti "a cascata" e diagonalmente rispetto al pannello di base. Con la tecnica del masking ho aggiunto anche alcune foglie incluse nel set, dopodiché ho colorato il tutto con i promarkers.

I chose the two lilies in the Simple Florals stampset and I stamped them multiple times as if they were falling. Thanks to the masking technique, I added a few leaves from the same stampset and I coloured them with promarkers.

Per finire ho aggiunto un grande augurio dal set Party Animals di Lawn Fawn e l''ho stampato al centro, al di sopra dei fiori. Ho contornato la scritta con una penna gel bianca per far risaltare le singole parole rispetto allo sfondo.

Ho deciso di tagliare il pannello fustellandolo con una fustella rettangolare, incollando poi il tutto su un cartoncino nero. Ho fatto sì che il rettangolo centrale fosse in rilievo grazie a del nastro adesivo.

At the end I added a large sentiment from Party Animals stampset by Lawn Fawn and I stamped it on the flowers. I added a touch of white gel pen all around the words to make them pop a little more.

I decided to cut out the panel by die cutting it with a rectangle die. I glued all of them onto a piece of black cardstock, popping up the smaller rectangle with some foam tape.

Finally I'm back!

Today I'm sharing something different: a romantic card with a touch of spring. And pink... pink everywhere!

I had this Ranunculus from So Suzy Stamps and I really wanted to watercolour it multiple times.

I started by picking a piece of watercolour paper.

Oggi vi faccio vedere qualcosa di diverso rispetto alle mie ultime card: un biglietto romantico che profuma già di primavera. E rosa... rosa ovunque!

Avevo questo Ranuncolo di So Suzy Stamps e una voglia sopita da tempo di mettere mano agli acquerelli. Il tutto ha avuto inizio con un foglio di carta acquarellabile.

I stamped the Ranunculus onto a post-it tape and I used the cut-out silhouette as a mask to stamp the flower again and again. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink because I wanted to try some no-line watercoloring with Distress Inks.

Ho stampato il Ranuncolo su un post-it e ho usato la sagohma del fiore come una maschera per stamparne diversi. Ho scelto il Distress Ink Antique Linen perché ho voluto provare un po' di acquarello "no-line" utilizzando i Distress Inks.

Once it dried, I watercoloured them using Picked Raspberry and a bit of Seedless Preserves Distress Inks. Sitting down and colouring petal by petal is a relaxing exercise for me!

Una volta asciugato l'Antique Linen, ho iniziato la colorazione con il Picked Raspberry e un po' di Seedles Preserves. Sedermi e colorare un petalo alla volta mi rilassa e mi aiuta a raggiungere una profonda concentrazione!

Then I cut out the excess of paper and I picked a strip of vellum. I stamped the Love and Happiness sentiment (did you see the amazing handlettering of this one?!) with some Versamark Ink, I heat embossed it in gold and I glue it down onto the main panel. A rose cardstock is perfect for the card base.

Ho poi tagliato l'eccesso di cartoncino e ho preso una striscia di vellum. Ho stampato l'augurio Love and Happiness (avete notato l'incantevole calligrafia di questa scritta?!) con del Versamark Ink. L'ho embossato con della polvere oro e ho fissato il tutto sul pannello. Per la base ho scelto del cartoncino rosa di una tonalità simile a quella dei ranuncoli.

And that's all! You could choose to add sequins, Nuvo Drops or just a little bit of shimmer, but I prefered to keep it simple.

E questo è tutto! Si possono anche aggiungere sequins, Nuvo Drops, Wink of Stella... ma ho preferito lasciarla semplice semplice.

I was forgetting a small detail: I used a bit of Antique Linen all around the ranunculus to made them pop up a little more and give some dimension too!

Quasi dimenticavo: ho usato un po' di Antique Linen intorno ai ranuncoli per dar loro un po' di profondità - devo esercitarmi di più, ma sono abbastanza soddisfatta essendo solo il secondo tentativo con questa tecnica!

Hello guys, here we are for the 1st So Suzy Stamps Blog Hop of the year!

I'm so excited to be in So Suzy Stamps DT for one more term, with many ladies of the old team and new ones as well!

Do you remember the So Suzy Stamps theme of the month? Actually it's really cold outside (no snow here) and this inspired me: white houses in a pale sky. An as I watched the tutorial of Yainea I knew I had to try her slider tag!

Sono felicissima di essere stata confermata nel DT di So Suzy Stamps, con molte ragazze del vecchio team e un paio di nuove entrate!
Vi ricordate il tema del mese di So Suzy Stamps? In questo momento fa davvero freddo fuori (malgrado non ci sia neve) e questo clima rigido mi ha ispirato: case bianche in un cielo pallido. Non appena ho visto il tutorial di Yainea ho capito che avrei dovuto provare la sua slider tag!

Come potete vedere, se si dira il nastro l'augurio compare sia sopra che sotto la tag vera e propria!
Di seguito le istruzioni step-by-step.

First of all, I built up my front scene: I cut a piece of white cardstock and I stamped the beautiful House Border from So Suzy Stamps with versamark ink. In fact I heat embossed it with white embossing powder: as you can see it's not a fine detailed one (on my wish list right now), but I like the final result.
Then I masked the cardstock with a post-it tape in order to blend some Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and I glued it down onto a piece of aquamarine cardstock.

Prima di tutto, ho costruito la mia scena: ho tagliato un rettangolo di cartoncino bianco e ho stampato il bellissimo House Border di So Suzy Stamps con del Versamark Ink. Infatti l'ho poi embossato con della polvere bianca: come si può vedere si tratta di una polvere "grossolana" che non si cura molto dei dettagli, ma mi piace l'effetto finale. Poi ho mascherato il cartoncino con un paio di post-it così da incorporare un po' di Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink e ho incollato il tutto su del cartoncino aquamarine.

Then I cut 2 other pieces of white cardstock (same size of the front panel), I punched a hole on the first one and I arranged the Fill your heart sentiment so that it would fit with the slider tag. Then I stamped it with some Memento London Fog Ink.

Ho poi tagliato altri due rettangolo di cartoncino bianco della stessa misura del pannello centrale, ho fustellato un buco sul primo e ho sistemato l'augurio Fill your heart in modo da adattarlo alla struttura della slider tag. In seguito l'ho stampato con del Memento London Fog Ink.

At this point I created the structure: a long strip of tri-folded white cardstock (each folded piece has the same size of the front panel as well). The last one is cut out in order to have a rectangle with a folded plastic around. This is where the sentiments will slide!

A questo punto mi sono dedicata alla struttura: una lunga striscia di cartoncino bianco piegato più volte (ad ogni piega corrisponde un pezzetto della stessa dimensione del pannello principale). L'ultima parte è stata tagliata così da ottenere un rettangolo intorno a cui avvolgere della plastica piegata (io ho usato quella delle bustine trasparenti). Questo è il punto in cui usciranno le scritte!

Finally I glued down the 3 pieces of cardstock: the sentiments (one on the front of the plastic, the other on the back side) and the front panel. I added a white ribbon and closed the door with a piece of tape.

Infine ho incollato i 3 cartoncini: i due auguri (uno sulla parte anteriore della plastica, l'altro sulla parte posteriore) e il pannello centrale. Ho aggiunto del nastro bianco e ho chiuso il tutto con del nastro biadesivo.

This is the final result! As you can see the final touch was the vellum snowflakes on top of the sky with a bit of Aquamarine Nuvo Drops:

Hello everyone and happy new year! May this new one be filled with love, peace...and creativity, of course!

The awesome ladies of So Suzy Stamps DT are challenging with the theme of the month as well as the related technique:

Buongiorno a tutti e buon 2017! Possa quest'anno essere pieno di amore, pace...e creatività, naturalmente!

Le fantastiche donne del DT di So Suzy Stamps si sono confrontate con il tema del mese e con la relativa tecnica:

I decided to create a couple of tags that would work perfectly as "Thank you" tags to give after Christmas.

Ho deciso di creare un paio di tags perfette come tags di ringraziamento da regalare dopo Natale.

I picked a piece of vellum and I trimmed it down with a small rectangle die. As I have the Big Shot machine on my work surface, I also die cut another small rectangle from a piece of beige cardstock and a label from brown cardstock.

Ho preso un foglio di vellum e l'ho tagliato con una piccola fustella rettangolare. Visto che già avevo la Big Shot sul mio piano di lavoro, ho ritagliato un altro piccolo rettangolo da un cartoncino beige e un'etichetta da del cartoncino marrone.

At this point I stamped the Short Coffee Cup from So Suzy Stamps all around the piece of vellum with versamark ink, I covered it with some gold embossing powder and I melt it with my heat gun. I also stamped the "Hugs" from the Hugs and Kisses sentiment by So Suzy Stamps and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

A questo punto ho stampato la tazza Short Coffee Cup su tutto il rettangolo di vellum con del versamark, l'ho ricoperta con della polvere da embossing oro e l'ho scaldata con la pistola di calore. Ho anche stampato la scritta "Hugs" dal timbro Hugs and Kisses di So Suzy Stamps e l'ho embossato a caldo con della polvere bianca.

Then I decorated the piece of beige cardstock with a stencil and the Short Coffee Cup using Antique Linen Distress Ink to have a tone-on-tone effect.

Finally I punched a hole into the 2 rectangle, I added a brown twine and I glue down the sentiment with a little heart, in the center of the piece of vellum.

Poi ho decorato il rettangolo beige con uno stencil e con la tazza Short Coffee Cup usando il Distress Antique Linen per ottenere un effetto tono-su-tono.

Infine ho ricavato un buco nei due rettangoli, ho aggiunto un poco di nastro e ho incollato l'augurio con un piccolo cuore al centro del vellum.

I think that this hot cup of coffee (or tea, why not?) just matches perfectly with the theme: when it's cold outside I really love to have a cup of tea on the sofa. In the second tag I made, I changed some colours and used the "Kisses" from Hugs and Kisses sentiment.

Penso che questa tazza fumante di caffé (o té, perché no?) si sposa perfettamente con il tema del mese: quando fuori fa freddo adoro prendermi una tazza di té sul divano. Nella seconda tag che ho creato, ho cambiato i colori ed ho utilizzato la parola "Kisses" sempre dal timbro Hugs and Kisses.
