Hi everyone! Today I'm up on So Suzy blog showcasing one of the new quotes of the August Release. For this card I used the More Dangerous stamp, that is perfect for inspirational cards:

Eccomi di nuovo sul blog di So Suzy a mostrarvi una delle nuove citazioni della release di agosto. Per questa card ho utilizzato il timbro More Dangerous, perfetto per card ironiche e di incoraggiamento:

More dangerous

I started out by blending the background with a stencil hand-made with one of the Puffy Cloud Borders from Lawn Fawn. I used the Tubled Glass Distress Ink in order to keep the clouds soft.

Sono partita dallo sfondo, che ho creato partendo dallo stencil realizzato con uno dei Puffy Cloud Borders di Lawn Fawn. Ho scelto il Tumbled Glass Distress Ink per evitare colori troppo accesi sullo sfondo.

Then I did some paper piercing with the balloon from the WPlus9 Going Places stampset. 

First of all, I stamped it with Stazon Jet Black Ink on my background; then I took some leftovers of brown and white cardstocks - and also one of patterned paper - and I stamped my image 3 time. 

At this point, I cut and stick down what I needed with some foam adhesive right onto the front panel.

Poi mi sono dedicata al paper piercing con la mongolfiera dal set Going Places di WPlus9.

Prima di tutto, ho stampato la mongolfiera con dello Stazon direttamente sullo sfondo, dopodiché ho preso alcuni rimasugli di cartoncini e ho stampato la mia immagine più volte.

A questo punto è bastato tagliare le parti di mongolfiera di cui avevo bisogno, incollandoli poi sul pannello con del nastro gommato.

Finally I stamped my sentiment at the bottom of the card with Stazon Ink.

I added a touch of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen on the balloon, and the card is finished!

Infine ho stampato la scritta sul fondo della card, sempre con dello Stazon.

Ho aggiunto un velo di Wink of Stella Clear sulla mongolfiera, e ho concluso così la card!

Love is a fire

As the quote is quite big, I decided to create a one-layer card. I built my own background with some ink blending: I started sponging a piece of watercolour paper with a bunch of Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral). Then I took the Bricked Stencil designed by Tim Holtz and I gradually removed some colour by sponging a wet cloth over the stencil, than I sponged some Pomice Stone Distress Ink here and there.

Visto che la citazione è piuttosto estesa, ho deciso di creare una one-layer card. Ho realizzato un background personalizzato sfumando qualche inchiostro: ho iniziato applicando i Distress Inks su un foglio acquerellabile con il distress tool (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade e Abandoned Coral). Poi ho scelto lo stencil di Tim Holtz e ho rimosso pian piano il colore dal foglio, tamponando la superficie dello stencil con uno straccio bagnato e ho poi continuato passando qui e là del Pomice Stone Distress Ink.

I didn't stop until I was satisfied with the final effect: a fire building or burning a wall. I trimmed down the piece of paper and I stamped the sentiment right in the center with some Stazon Jet Black Ink.

Non mi sono fermata finché non sono rimasta soddisfatta del risultato finale: un fuoco che divorava o costruiva un muro. Ho poi tagliato il foglio e ho stampato al centro la scritta con dello Stazon Jet Black Ink.

At this point my card was pretty much finished: I only glued down the front panel on a piece of black cardstock and I added some grey spots around the edges with some Pomice Stone.

A questo punto la mia card è pressoché finita: ho solo incollato il pannello sulla base di cartoncino nero e ho aggiunto del colore grigio intorno ai bordi sempre con del Pomice Stone.

I love how an handmade background could add interest to the card!

Amo il modo in cui uno sfondo personalizzato si può adattare alla citazione, dando significato ad una card!

Hello guys! Here I am with a card featuring the August release of So Suzy Stamps. I want you to focus on the quote by Lauren Bacall, an American actress named the 20th greatest female star of Classic Hollywood cinema.

This sentiment reminded me a beautiful quote of a beautiful movie: 

"Sometimes, when you win, you lose" (from "What Dreams May Come")

Nobody can foresee the future, no one knows in advance the meaning of victories and defeats in life. We just fight: sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Sometimes we are weak, sometimes we are strong.

Oggi vi presento questa card dedicata alla release di agosto di So Suzy Stamps. Vorrei che vi concentraste sulla citazione di Lauren Bacall, un'attrice americana considerata una delle figure femminili di spicco per quel che riguarda il cinema hollywoodiano.

Questa frase mi ha ricordato una bellissima citazione di un bellissimo film:

"Ogni tanto quanto si vince, si perde" (dal film "Al di là dei sogni")

Nessuno può prevedere il futuro, nessuno conosce in anticipo il significato di vittorie e sconfitte della propria vita. Combattiamo e basta: qualche volta ne usciamo vittoriosi, altre volte sconfitti. Qualche volta siamo deboli, altre volte forti.

Let's start showing how I made this card! First of all, I took a piece of white cardstock and I started blending it out with a bunch of Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral and a little bit of Seedless Preserves on the top).

I wanted to use the Blowing Tree as a branch: fall doesn't mean "lack of life", but "hope for the future". A kind of "sometimes, when you lose, you win". So I stamped the tree in the horizontal way with some Stazon Jet Black Ink.

Ma ora cominciamo a parlare della card! Prima di tutto ho preso un cartoncino bianco e ho cominciato distribuire il colore di una manciata di Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral e un poco di Seedless Preserves sul bordo in alto).

Ho voluto usare il timbro Blowing Tree come se fosse un ramo: l'autunno non significa "mancanza di vita", ma soprattutto "promessa e speranza di nuova vita". Una sorta di "ogni tanto quando si perde, si vince". Per cui ho stampato l'albero in senso orizzontale con dello Stazon Jet Black.

While my background was drying, I took a piece of black cardstock, I stamped the quote with some Versamark Ink, I covered it with white embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I cut the strip of black cardstock as a hill in front of a sunset, I glued the background onto a piece of black cardstock and the front panel on a piece of white cardstock.

Mentre il mio sfondo asciugava, ho preso una striscia di cartoncino nero, ho stampato la citazione con del Versamark Ink, l'ho coperta con della polvere da embossing bianca e l'ho embossata. A questo punto ho tagliato il cartoncino nero come se fosse una collina di fronte al tramonto, ho incollato il tutto sul del cartoncino nero, infine su del cartoncino bianco.

I really love how the background matches the sentiment and empowers the quote as well. 

Falling leaves are the best, very detailed!

Sono davvero soddisfatta del risultato: lo sfondo si sposa perfettamente con la scritta e la valorizza.

Le foglie sono davvero bellissime, molto dettagliate!
